Atkins Diet Recipes: Low Carb Chicken Kabobs (IF)
** Recipe included in my new low carb, gluten free cookbook, Low Carbing Among Friends. Please check it out at our website @ www.amongfriends.us ** On the night before my kids return to school and after an extremely stressful week with a funeral for a friend and fellow firefighter, I realize I haven’t made a video in a bit. I am sure my fellow low carb’ers understand, but I wanted to make another Induction-friendly recipe video. Some might have gone off plan with the stress and the grief over the loss and sadness over tremendous loss of his family and friends. While I missed more workouts this week than I would like, I did stay strictly on plan — thanks to foods like this one. I hope you guys enjoy it! *Join the Facebook page – http * My Low Carb Blog – www.atkinsdietgeek.com Ingredients 1.5# Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts 2 Red Peppers, chopped 1 Onion, chopped 4 oz Bacon, chopped Marinade 3 TBS Soy Sauce 3 TBS Water 2 TBS Splenda, optional 1 TBS Sesame Oil 1 tsp Ginger 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder Nutrition Info: (6 Servings) 304 Calories, 12.5g Fat, 6g Carb (1g Fiber), 38g Protein (IF = Induction Friendly)

@Ultimist There’s that hard fat that remains on the chicken breasts particularly between the breast and tenders, which is more like cartilage to chew through. It isn’t about the fat content or Calories, just simply about the taste. Most of the frozen chicken breasts you buy from the store already have extra piece of fat removed.
Hi again, Kent… Love your videos as always. I’m just wondering why you trim the fat off chicken breasts when there is very little to begin with, and the Atkins Diet seems to encourage that we get plenty of fat in our diets. Is it just a personal preference of yours?
@watchmeshrink20101
“because everything goes better with bacon” soooooo true!!!!
@chrisrajive I am not sure I can subtitle everything. I can however try to make sure all the ingredients and recipe instructions are in the video description from now on. I know Youtube as a transcription service, but it doesn’t do a great job with my videos.
kent,could you maybe please put subtitles on ure videos? i have several family memebers who are very hard of hearing and subs would help a lot,thanks for your videos

@AmyCelticProductions You know I really appreciate my long time viewers who hopefully can tell how far I have come in production value — from solely webcam and WMM days to something hopefully just a bit better. I still get grief sometimes, but now I have even more science on my side.
Thanks for spreading the word and bringing the gospel of good chicken wings to the masses.
I LOVE your recipes! I have been watching you since you began. You used to get so much grief from people, and now you have a great following! I love that! Thank you so much! I share your link with my Facebook friends, because they are always asking me for my Chicken Wing recipe, and I tell them it’s “Bowulf’s on YouTube” LOL! Can’t take credit for it, but I tell you, I enjoy it a lot!
@SeeMeEat The marinade would typically be high carb part – a lot of Tandoori or Teriyaki recipes are simply loaded in sugars. The point of the video was to point out a legal Asian marinade for the chicken. Another idea for a marinade would be an low carb Italian dressing like Ken’s Northern Italian dressing.
What would make a chicken kabob high carb? bbq sauce?
@ckrtom2 We were very blessed to be able to raise our 4 kids in this small town.
Roughly 3-5 feet is the safe distance from a grill. More important than side distance is the distance overhead for flareups. The grill perhaps should have been 2 feet further out.
Re: loose skin, there is some, but not nearly what others have experienced. As to why I was fortunate, I think diet rich in necessary fats and proteins and exercise helped.
@mshealthfirst I realize that about weirdo’s (see other posts in other videos), but in terms of confidential information leakage, my license plate is not going to do them much.
@Lenix Thanks for watching!
@patti997 There are some without tastebuds in every crowd…
looks great but you should have blurred out your license plate number… there are some weirdos on yt
Wow, what a fancy neighborhood. I’m jealous. Kabobs look fantastic. Just a couple questions if you don’t mind. Is it safe to have vehicle close to the grill? Also, how were you able to not have loose skin around your thighs? Couldn’t help but notice since you’re donning shorts…
I think they look really good. I’m going to try making it. Keep the videos coming bowulf.
That food looks nasty.
